Frost by Mars

This was posted on Dezeen Design Magazine’s webpage a few days ago. Korean designer HwaSung Yoo takes Legos, Erector Sets, Lincoln Logs, etc. to a whole new level with this beauty of a table. It is made of extruded aluminium and the cross section features a frost pattern that makes it so the pieces can connect together. This table is a great new way to think of extrusions and it’s applications. For those of you not familiar with extrusions as a manufacturing process, just think of Play-dough that you’d squeeze through a press to make some sort of shape. You can do the same thing with plastics and metals.
